Model and Lace by Tanaya C.E.O, Tanaya Henry breaks rules with the first Earlace, a cross between a necklace and earrings.

Tanaya Henry was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At the age od 19, she moved to New York to pursue a career as a professional model. Within months, she signed with Wilhelmina Models and modeled in national campaigns for iconic companies such as; Sephora, Make Up For Ever, and Apple. In 2010, Henry started to gain attention when she became a human billboard from her year-long She Wears Your Tee campaign. Together with her friends, they came up with the idea to sell the days on her calendar to companies in exchange for promotion. The site featured a calendar where reservations could be made by the day for Henry’s marketing services with prices increasing by $1 per day. Participating companies included; Adidas, Vimeo, Groupon and hip hop group Atmosphere.
Henry later moved into a warehouse in Hoboken, New Jersey called The Pudding Factory owned by Photographer, River Clark. Being immersed in the Andy Warhol-like creative factory, she was drawn in by the creative process. She started to take up roles as creative director on photoshoots, learnt and mastered the art of Photoshop.

Later in 2010, Henry handcrafted a one of a kind Earlace. The very first Lace by Tanaya creation. The idea came to her when she was in search of something that looked like a necklace and earrings together. After the first had been a success, in order to fund her vision Henry became a dancer for various NY Nightclubs. It was on one of her nights at work when Alicia Keys’ stylist approached her in regards to her Earlace, which made its debut on the cover of Giant Magazine. The one of a kind creation also caught the attention of Nicki Minaj’s stylist and was featured in the music video "Your Love".

Ever since, Lace by Tanaya has been articled in; Russian Vogue, British Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Complex Magazine, The Huffington Post and list goes on.
Her art is similar to that of Alexandre Wang, its edgy, unique, sophisticated and has a great deal of sex appeal to it. In one of her Vlogs, Henry stated “What keeps me on the edge and motivates me is my desire for success”.
